The INES Project at the Longevity Summit

At the recent Milan Longevity Summit, held in Milan from March 21 to 29, 2025, the INES project took center stage with two notable presentations by Valentina Bollati and Elia Biganzoli, both professors at the University of Milan.

The Milan Longevity Summit is a leading international event dedicated to exploring longevity and healthy aging from a multidisciplinary perspective. Recognized as the most important international conference on this topic, the Summit is supported by the Lombardy Region and the City of Milan, underscoring their ongoing commitment to innovation, leadership, and progress in the fields of health and well-being.

During the session titled “Longevity for All: The Interplay of Epigenetics and Environment” on March 21, Valentina Bollati delivered the presentation “Epigenetics: The Influence of Lifestyle on Aging”, highlighting how daily choices influence the epigenome and the aging process.

Following this, Elia Biganzoli presented “Responsible Artificial Intelligence to Study the Effects of the Environment on our Epigenome”, illustrating the use of artificial intelligence to analyze the environmental impact on the human epigenome.

Both presentations placed INES at the heart of the discussion, emphasizing the importance of integrated approaches that combine environmental, biomedical, and computational sciences to address the challenges of aging.
